Michael J. Falencki joined The Keelen Group, LLC as Vice President after 4 ½ years on Capitol Hill working for Congressman Sam Graves (R-MO-06), leaving as the congressman’s Deputy Chief of Staff. Prior to working on the Hill, Falencki was at The Vanguard Group in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, where he worked on institutional investment plans.

During his time on Capitol Hill, Michael also served as a Legislative Assistant and Legislative Director, handling a portfolio of policy issues including Transportation, Appropriations, Healthcare, Agriculture, Telecommunications, Energy, Education, Defense, and Immigration. On the policy side, Falencki drafted legislation and amendments, and executed legislative strategy. In addition to his expertise in these specific areas, he coordinated the congressman’s overall legislative agenda, handled the congressman’s work on both the Transportation and Infrastructure and Agriculture Committees, and oversaw the operations of the Washington, D.C. office.

In his role of handling the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for Congressman Graves, Michael worked in-depth with the Missouri federal delegation as well as local and state officials to obtain and authorize funding for numerous transportation projects throughout the state of Missouri via the highway and aviation reauthorization bills, and annual appropriations bills.

Since joining The Keelen Group, LLC, Michael has spearheaded policy, legislative, and communications strategies for a host of clients, including AT&T, The Society of the Plastics Industry, The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, Archer Daniels Midland, The American Council of Engineering Companies, and the Building and Construction Trades Department of the AFL-CIO. Falencki also has provided strategic consulting services for transportation infrastructure projects and business development services.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Michael attended Yale University, where he received a B.A. in History in May 2000. During his time at Yale, Michael participated in Football and Heavyweight Crew, served as Class Co-Chair to the Yale Alumni Fund, tutored elementary students through the America Reads program, and volunteered as Philanthropy, Rush, and Social Chair to Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He remains active in the Yale Alumni Association and Crossing the Finish Line, a non-profit group assisting families with cancer patients.
