Aimee Nichols joined the team in January 2005, bringing a diverse background in political fundraising and advocacy representation. As a senior account executive at The Keelen Group, Aimee promotes a variety of legislative issues to Members of Congress and the executive branch. Aimee began working at Keelen Communications in April 2002 as an account executive, helping to manage numerous U.S. House and Senate campaigns as well as open and challenger seat races across the country. In this role, she developed close relationships with key professionals and staffers. Prior to her experience at Keelen Communications, Aimee worked as a legislative assistant in government affairs at the Investment Company Institute, the trade association for the mutual fund industry, where she assisted their lobbying efforts on financial education, financial services and banking issues before Congress and the executive branch. Aimee was recently honored in Campaigns and Elections magazine as a young 'rising star' of politics. Aimee is originally from northern New Jersey. She attended the University of Maryland at College Park and graduated in May 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She was a member of the English Honors Program and received the President’s Scholarship throughout her college tenure. |
